Catch up on my work

Hey guys, I know its been a few months since i last posted, A lot as gone on since then and i was distracted and honestly forgot about this for awhile. I had lost all my bookmarks on my laptop and had to thinking of what i had there and didnt think about this but today i have start 3 weeks of holidays and thought this would be a perfect time to catch you all up and the work i have done since then and what my new ideas are.

From what i remember i finished of where i had started Oggie Boogie and i can say i finished him pretty quickly i loved working on that project.
After i had finished Oogie i had found that there were stitches to make pictures so i went through and found a Tri-Force picture from Legends of Zelda and thought this would make a great gift for a friend so i went and make this just just a standard Single Crochet Stitch and this was the end product.
I thought it had turned out quite well untill i had done some more research and found a stitch called tunisian and this made the picture turn out more sharper and look more real so i thought i would have a little try of this stitch and i started small and made this (its a WIP atm but might turn into a blanket later in the future.
I thought that i had got the hang of it so i thought i would try a bigger project as i has another gift idea for another friend. So i found a small picture of Tigger and started to make that to get the hang of a bigger project.
This is as about how far i got into this project. I had the hang of it and thought this is the prefect time to get the  other ideas chart made up and get the colours ready and some hooks with the extras tubes on them as you cant use standard hooks for this type of stitch in big projects.
This was the project i had in mind. I started from the bottom and have her  name on it so its personlised for her. She is a huge fan of the legandary pokemon Raikou so thats what i had decided to make her. I have made a few mistakes so this is now set aside for now and ill be back on it while i on holidays.

Well so far this isnt quite up to date with where i am now but this is this entry or i will end up making one massive entry so i thought i might stop here and then continue this in another entry to get to where i am at the moment. So untill then Happy Reading and Crocheting if you are :)

Hello all!

First i would like to say sorry for not posting recently ive been very busy with work and just finishing some of my projects that i havnt had time to sit down and write to you all. Im now taking time to come on now though so i can show you all my recent work. Since i last wrote i had one row of my year blanket, Now i have two rows completed and just over half o the third, They just need their white borders and to be attached. This will be upload in my next entry.

I have also completed Rarity for my neice, just in time aswell. i finished her the morning of her birthday and about an hour before we went over to see her. Was just an effort to get it finished i was thinking it wasnt going to happen. There are some finish shots and my neice with her new pony.

I am really happy with how it turned out, it was certainly a challenge though. If anyone would like the pattern look for Nerdy Knitter Designs on either Ravely or Etsy. She does great patterns for all the ponys.

Next i was looking for new things to make and i came across a Jack Skellington pattern and i fell in love, Unfortunately this pattern does require some patience and i dont have much so  i have only completed the head and one leg of him so far.

I then thought about making something for Valentines Day and i came across this lovely unicorn pattern in red and pink and thought it would be perfect, So i got making. I thought at the end i might make some 3d hearts to lay around his feet. I completed this yesterday and was so excited about how it turned out it just looked amazing!, Then i made my first 3d heart and realised they arnt easy to make. Then my fiance came up with the suggestion to make the heart into a balloon so the unicorn can be holding it. It was the perfect idea and now it just look amazing doesnt need anything else added. Here are the finished pictures.

This pattern is credited by Little Yarn Friends for the unicorn, the heart i found on google, But dont you just love it!. I think its just perfect lol.

Now i have been wanting to start this next project for a while now but i couldnt find the right yarn, untill last week but i had to finish the unicorn first and since thats now done, i can start this one. This is my Ooogie Boogie from my all time fave movie. Nightmare before Christmas. And im going to make him aswell as finish Jack and make Sally and Zero aswell. But i have only just started this in the last hour so here is a progress picture and also what they will look like finished.

Thanks for reading and i hope that you all enjoyed my recent projects, im looking at trying my best to keep coming back weekly :)

Feel free to comment or suggestions :)

Interesting week of finishing projects

Hey all,
This week has been an interesting week, i finished my Gir Beanie, Mr Hankey and also completed my first row of my blanket (14days wide) then i was thinking about what i might make for my new project so i was doing alot of research and i found something to make my neice for her birthday next sunday which also happens to be my Fiances birthday aswell. I am at a little lose of what to make him as his not a big fan of something non useful and ive already make him a scarf and its summer here.

Anyways to my first completed project i have my Gir Beanie. It was great stitching this and is something im certainly going to make again. Here is a few pictures of the completed project.

Next was my Mr Hankey project, I had to find a decent enough pattern for a christmas hat which was hard as i didnt know what size they were going to turn out as, So i found one pattern and make it and turned out to be a great size. So i got to putting it all together. This was a late birthday gift for my dad has his a fan of South Park. Im really happy with how he turned out. Here is his picture.

With my blanket i have made the decision to make it 14 squares wide (2wks) and 26 rows long (26 fortnights in the year) and a few days ago i completed my first row and i was really happy with how it turned out. Here is some of my sqaures before the row completed,

This is a picture of my first completed row of my year blanket.

The xbox controller is for scale of how big the row is.

Next is my last four sqaures and the first of the next row :)

I hope you all are enjoying the excitement of watching this blanket grow.

My next project is for my niece and i found a Rarity pony from My Little Pony series as she is a massive fan. Here is what it will look like when i finish it.

I only started this project last night so i havnt gotten far, I have only completed the head and this is my progress so far.

i will be starting the ears tomorrow before heading to work.

Thats all for this week. Hope you enjoyed the read and watching my projects come to life (so to speak). Until next week.

Sunday 11 January 2015

Hey all,First off im sorry i didnt post yesterday  (to anyone that is actually following this) as i was just too busy and lost track of time.

Well this week has been interesting i havnt had much time to crochet this week but i did get a lot done, First off ive been completing my blanket and its going great currently im up to 11 sqaures across and today will be the 12th. Its going to be 14 across and that will be how wide the blanket will be. Here is my currently picture of my progress.

Im getting excited about how this is coming out and cant wait till it bigger xD.

During this week ive had three other project i was completing, First off was my gir amigurumi that i showed you progress in the last week and how he was coming along, well thursday last week i finally was able to buy the materials that i need to finish him off and i completed him last night, im very happy with his turn out and ive been asked to make another for a friend :)

Second off i was doing my Gir Beanie, i had completed the actually beanie part but then had ran out of yarn so had to wait again, i finished off the earflaps last night, aswell as all the extras that i needed, ie. eyes, nose, ears, tounge. Now today after i post this ill be making the black boarder around the beanie then putting it all together. If anyone would like to see this before my next post on Sunday please feel free to check my fb page https://www.facebook.com/groups/262387177204336/ or my instagram (mzjatz)

Lastly i was thinking of something that i could make my dad as a last bday present, i was going to make him a Kenny from southpark but i couldnt find a pattern in English so i was just searching my forums and sites im on and i came across Mr Hankey and i thought this would be perfect! so i got crocheting. So far i have only completed him body, today i will be doing this arms and his xmas hat as this pattern was from his xmas special and he should be finished tonight aswell.

So this is what my last week has been like crocheting, as for this week im not sure whats in store i have nothing on list and 3days off work so i guess we shall just see what comes up :) I hope that you all enjoyed this weeks work and please feel free to comment and leave suggests for new projects :)

First (half) Week of 2015

Hey all! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope you all had a great christmas and new year celebrations. Well this week it turns out i did alot of stitching, First of i decided that i would make a little Gir (Invaders Zim) in his puppy suit. As he won the little challenge i set on FB with all my friends and family. So i got making.

This is the first face panel and i used a lighter for scale:

This is the face completed, at first i wasnt sure what it would turn out like or how it was actually meant to go together but it turned out good.

This is the body all together with his arms and legs with his ears. He turned out so good i think.
And her is all complete with his eyes, I can not complete him till end of next week as i need felt and dont get paid until then so his been put on hold for the time being.

So after gir was put aside i was thinking that i wmight make a little present for someone i know and was getting the pattern sent to me via FB but i started it then it turned out wrong soi only got a lil into it and had to put that aside aswell :(

Then i decided i would make a Gir Beanie/Hat to go with my amigurumi. So i went online and found this great pattern and i got stitching yesterday, i almost got the beanie complete and i ran out of green yarn! So now its half on hold till payday aswell. This is the current process till i ran outta yarn:
So then i got on the start of his eyes to be attached, got both of them done as well as the pupils.
All i need now to to make his ears, and get the yarn to finish the ears flaps, and i really cant wait till he is completed!

On the first of January i got an idea about making a blanket, ive come around the idea of mood blankets last year and its a granny sqaure in a colour that represents the mood you felt that day of the year and you do one everyday for the whole year and attach as you go to make a massive nice blanket to remind you of the passed year. Now of this idea i thought i would do something similar but cause im really bad at picking colours to match my moods i thought i would just stitch a square a day, so i got started and made two. Then it got to yesterday and it was my first day off this year as i work in retail and only had xmas day off, anyways i thought why dont i find different and unquire sqaures to represent my days off. So as today is the 4th day of the year and currently my second day off This is the current process of my year blanket.
Im hoping to find alot more different sqaures to do or at least do some in different colours.

Well i hoped you enjoyed this week of stitching and i shall see you next week. Also if anyone is interested i do an instagram and post procress pictures of all my work. MzJatz.

Xmas Week

Well, Not much has gotten done this week due to it being chirstmas and all. I did manage to finish my Christmas Tree bust and decorate it and the snowman before chirstmas day though so i was happy with that.
Picture of them both complete but not decorated:
And them now decorated and under the tree since there is no more presents there:
I hadnt started anything else this week since i did a lot of travelling and visiting family and just didnt have the time, But today i decided it was time to find another project so i picked a few items out and posted a vote on my facebook page for my friends and family to help me choose, Some were Pokemon, The black Angry Bird, Kenny from south park, Gir in his puppy suit, Gir in normal form with a cupcake in his head.

Turns out it was a tie between Kenny and Puppy Gir. But i was going to make all of them anyways. But im also making a Dog for my dad for this birthday next week. So ill be posting some process pictures of each of the new projects im doing through the next week.

I am sorry for the lack of entry this week but it was one busy week as im sure it was for many of your out there. But i figure i would keep up with the updates every Sunday of the week.

Until next sunday, Merry Chirstmas and Happy New Year! ( as the next post wont be till 4th of Jan)

xD Jamie.

The Week Before Xmas

Well hi again all,

Its been just over a week since my last post and i was meant to write this out last night but i was a little tired from the week of work and i was just relaxing then i realised how late it had already gotten, So i thought since i have the morning off that i would get in and get this done otherwise i wouldnt till next week.

Well first off this week i finish off a xmas present for my unborn neice or nephew of a baby blanket. Took me a while as i had run out of thread and then i had to wait to buy more. Anyways below is the finished project, Its a little smaller then i had hoped but being 3days from xmas i figured it will be fine as is.

After i finished this i was thinking what could i make to help on xmas day with a little decoration and i did a little search and found these great xmas busts. I thought these would be great for the middle of the table so i decided to first make the snowman, Below is the process of the project then the final result.
The start of the project, turns out this would be his head.

Starting the body now.

Body complete and made the scarf. Now for the nose and hat.
My completed snowman, Im going to add two buttons down his chest once the next bust is complete.

I then decided that i would do a xmas tress bust from the same collection and so far ive made the scarf, the star and started the bust this is my progress picture of this moment.
In my next blog i will have the completed picture.

But for now this is all i have managed to do this week with work aswell (ended up doing a 42hr week) and the busts are a pattern i found online at this website http://www.dendennis.nl/ and all greeted goes to them for the bust patterns, The blanket was just from a granny square and just kept going around and around till i ran out of yarn.

Hope you enjoyed the projects this week and i will hopfully get some next week but unsure as it is xmas soon and i have a lot of travelling to do xD.

Jamie.
